Terms of Business and Client Responsibility
Pace Appointments Pty Ltd, Pace Appointments (VIC) Pty Ltd, Pace(VIC) Pty Ltd, Pace Appointments (WA) Pty Ltd and Pace Appointments (QLD) Pty Ltd, individually and collectively known as Pace.
A fee will be levied on the date that the candidate commences duty and is payable within 14 days of invoice date. Payments received after 14 days will attract interest at the current rate applying under the Penalty Interest Rate Act 1983. Our fees are only payable by the employer.
No responsibility can be accepted for any liability, loss, damage, misrepresentations, errors and/or omissions on information supplied, or incorrect conclusions. The final decision is yours, as the client, and you must be satisfied with the candidate’s capabilities and qualifications to perform the relevant job, as outlined in your job description.
Should any candidate introduced by Pace, on a written or verbal basis, be employed by the client or any related entity or related corporation of the client or by any third party referred by the client, within twelve months of the date of introduction, then the client is bound by these Terms Of Business and an applicable placement fee will be charged to the client. There will be no guarantee on this type of placement.
Temporary or Contractor Terms of Business and Client Responsibility
Pace pay all temporary contractors weekly. Terms of trade invoices are forwarded to your organisation weekly. Payment is due seven days from date of invoice. Our fees are only payable by the employer. The hourly rates include wages, superannuation, State payroll taxes and workers compensation insurance. Please note that the hourly rates are exclusive of any GST payable.
The minimum period that Temporary Contractors can be engaged for is three hours. Rates for Pace temporary contractors are subject to amendments in accordance with revised Award rates.
Pace provides clients and temporary contractors with assignment contract agreements. All Pace temporary contractors complete a weekly time sheet for each assignment. At the end of the week, or at the completion of the assignment, the temporary contractor submits the time sheet to you the client for verification and signature, The times worked submitted to Pace are checked prior to authorising payment to the Temporary Contractor.

Should any Temporary Contractor introduced by Pace be employed by the client or any related entity or related corporation of the client or by any third party referred by the client, during the temporary assignment or within twelve months of the date of completion of the last temporary or contract assignment of that Temporary Contractor with the client, then the client is bound by these Terms Of Business. A fee, as shown in our Schedule of Fees, will be charged to the client and there will be no guarantee applicable on this type of placement.
All Pace temporary contractors are assigned under the direct control and supervision of the client. Pace shall not be liable for any loss, expense, damages, or delay arising directly or indirectly from any failure to provide or any misconduct, negligence or lack of skills of the temporary contractor.
The client shall not entrust Pace temporary contractors, with unattended premises, cash or other valuables, or authorise the Temporary contractors to operate machinery or motor vehicles without written authorisation from Pace in each instance.
Our Charges shall be exclusive of any GST payable on our fees. The client shall be liable to reimburse Pace any GST payable or levied on our fees. “GST” means GST within the meaning of - A New Tax System (Goods and Services) Tax Act 1999 as amended.

Our Guarantee for Permanent Recruitment Services
Pace stands by its commitment to service excellence and provides a three-month guarantee, from the date of commencement. If required, a replacement candidate will be secured, at no additional cost, subject to each of the following conditions being satisfied:
- Pace must be given the exclusivity opportunity to replace the candidate.
- All fees are paid in full within fourteen days of invoice date.
- Notification of the employee’s resignation/termination is given to us prior to the expiration of the guarantee period.
- The job description for the replacement employee does not differ from that of the first employee.
- The cessation of employment is not due to restructuring of the job description, redundancy or relocation of the employer.
- Should the remuneration package of the replacement employee differ from that of the original employee, an adjustment will be made to the fee in accordance with the schedule of fees
- Can only be applied towards a permanent position.
- Cannot be applied against a temporary worker or contractor placement.
- The position must be replaced and based within the State of original placement, for example the replacement cannot be applied to interstate vacancy.
Should any of the above conditions not be met the replacement option is deemed closed.
