Banking Officer - 2 Month Contract

Our client is a well recognised brand that sells their product to major retailers and trade markets. Due to growth within the business, they are now looking for a Cash and Banking Officer to join their Banking Team on a two month contract with view to extension. Reporting to the Banking Team Lead, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:


•Checking funds deposited, eftpos and Amex bank statements to cash book on a daily basis
•Liaising with Financial Institutions
•Meeting monthly end deadlines
•Providing support to branch network regarding banking and cash book procedures and queries
•Providing support to other cash & banking team members
•Preparing and processing journals
•Preparing cheques to be deposited
•Providing information to Financial Accountants, Accounts Receivable Department and Internal Auditors

Ideally this candidate will have the following skills:


•A tertiary qualification in this particular field
•Experience working in a manufacturing / trading environment within a similar Banking position
•Experience with SOX Compliance required for audit
•Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
•Experience with reconciliations
•Strong MS Office Suite skills - specifically with Excel
•Good time management skills and attention to detail
