The forwarding industry can be an incredibly fast paced, chaotic industry where an issue on the other side of the world has the potential to completely ruin your client’s day! That’s where the Customer Service Extraordinaire comes in (that’s you!).
With all operations, documentation, cartage and invoicing taken care of, you are free to focus on your client, their shipment, and any of the potential scenarios which may impact its timely delivery into Australia.
A typical day will see you liaising with your client and the operations team regularly, ensuring bookings are made well in advance, that all documentation is in hand with the correct operator/broker, the correct charges are entered for invoicing, and that your client is kept up to date and stress-free.
This position will only suit an individual with a thorough understanding of forwarding operations; someone who can pre-empt potential issues and troubleshoot. You have the maturity to liaise directly with clients and service providers, and the confidence in your industry knowledge to make decisions on behalf of your customers and the business.
