You will help the business achieve operational excellence by the provision of specialist services, input and advice that strengthen the business processes and procedures.  

The accountabilities in this role include:

  • Providing coaching to executives and line managers across the region on issues of employee relations, compensation, benefits, wage and hour, training, staffing, workforce planning/job re-leveling, performance management and skill assessment
  • Partnering with and helping the organisation to determine and execute organisational objectives and strategies that support the culture, company direction and business needs
  • Conduct thorough, confidential investigations of complex employee issues, recommending course of action
  • Supporting managers with regulatory actions including guidance with developing and writing business cases and supporting documentation, and conducting notification meetings
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of corporate-wide policies, procedures, systems and initiatives
  • Managing EA negotiations

The successful candidate:

  • Degree qualified with proven experience in HR or equivalent with specialist post-grad quals in IR/ER
  • Confidence in negotiation, mediation, arbitration and leadership
  • Exemplary communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts
  • Understanding or specific employee relations needs in particular relation to bargaining agreements and business strategy
  • Strength in situation leadership, ethics, problem-solving, strategic thinking, and cultural competency
