Logistics Coordinator (Inventory Focus)

Take responsibility for the efficient management and supply of product for one major account in this newly created position with a global name in import and logistics.

Reporting to the International Logistics Manager, key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring efficient supply of food products whilst avoiding stock outs and maintaining inventory levels
  • Monitoring and analysing inventory stock levels for slow moving stock
  • Raising, receipting and closing of purchase orders
  • Ensuring all stock management systems are maintained accurately including stock takes
  • Handle queries / complaints from internal and external customers
  • Order processing and product coordination with 3PLs, Distributors and Cartage Companies to ensure orders are delivered on time in full
  • Prepare rolling forecasts for your client
  • Monitor and proactively advise on customer ordering patterns
  • Monitor and report on inventory management
  • Resolve day to day delivery and logistical issues to ensure products are received by customer on time and in full
  • Process weekly invoicing, stock reconciliation and product forecasts

This is an integral position within a busy team environment. Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • 3-5 years of inventory and stock management experience
  • Experience in food or FMCG distribution
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
  • Experience in food or cold storage logistics would be highly advantageous
  • Understanding of general trade and Inco terms
  • Ability to perform to tight deadlines
