Our client is a leading ingredient supplier to major retailers, independent grocery and the food manufacturing industry, with a growing presence across Australia.
 
They are currently seeking a qualified and experience contractor to manage import, domestic logistics, warehousing and inventory.  The role covers all aspects of the supply chain from monitoring departures to processing and controlling documentation. Responsible for liaising with our international vendors and monitoring inbound supply and shipments, you will additionally need to manage the entire inbound operation from domestic suppliers as well. You will be well versed in transport and domestic logistics coordination, understand how to facilitate stock transfers between multiple warehouses, drive continuous improvement and ensure DIFOT targets are hit. 
 
You will need to have come from a fast paced background (ideally within the food industry), understand how to negotiate with service providers, have superior organisation and prioritisation skills coupled with a can-do attitude and being numerically minded. Maintaining effective communication across internal and external stakeholders is mandatory for this role.
