Pace have exclusively partnered with a pharmaceutical manufacturing business on the lookout for an experienced, driven and resilient multi-site Warehouse & Logistics Manager to head up their operational function and continue to strive for efficiency and process improvement.

Reporting to the General Manager and looking after a team of operations, warehouse, customer service & inventory staff you will be responsible for the following:

  • Organising and scheduling delivery runs to ensure orders are received in full and on time and appropriate documentation is filed
  • Creating and maintaining a zero-harm environment
  • Leadership responsibilities i.e. mentoring and training
  • Identify efficiencies for warehouse processes and safety procedures (LEAN)
  • Leading and attending regular meetings with senior management
  • Regular reporting (warehouse reports, verbal quotes, lead times), forecasting, scheduling and liaison with relevant external and internal departments 
  • Assisting production, logistics, sales & customer service teams 
  • Receiving, processing and returned goods
  • Manage all domestic and international logistic providers as well as customer brokers and freight forwarders 
  • Adhering to legal and statutory safety requirements regarding stock quality
  • Reviewing and correcting daily reconciliations
  • Managing stock availability across a range of products
  • Receiving, verifying and processing all import shipping documents from global origins to ensure a smooth and timely delivery.
  • Leading warehouse transfers and updating information within the system
  • Handling claims
  • Driving continuous improvement strategy across the logistics space
  • Managing recruitment process for new warehouse staff as well as leading and managing floor staff 

In order to be successful in this role, you must display the following:

  • Experience working within pharmaceuticals ideal
  • High level understanding of supply chain & logistics
  • Exposure to LEAN, 5S, Six Sigma methodologies 
  • Ability to commute across warehouses
  • Exposure to project management
