Pace have recently partnered with a manufacturer of speciality engineered products that service a diverse range of end users. We are on the lookout for a Production Planner / Scheduler with proven experience driving continuous improvement, to join their operation in Melbourne's South East.

Reporting to Senior Management the successful candidate's responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing of end to end manufacturing / production operations 
  • Development of master / operational schedules and delegation of responsibility 
  • Procurement of raw materials from local and international suppliers as required 
  • Monitoring and driving labour efficiency and plant productivity 
  • Ensure DIFOT and produce appropriate reports / spreadsheets 
  • Ensuring production meets due dates and delivers to customer demands
  • Ensuring adherence to business models, plans and procedures
  • Supply and demand planning as per market trends and analysis 
  • Waste and risk management / minimisation
  • Equipment maintenance in accordance with OHS procedures and manuals
  • Job status / valuation reporting
  • Expedite assigned items
  • Working alongside internal departments including logistics, QA/QC, procurement, sales, business development, accounts and executive management
  • Regular internal auditing and process improvement to maintain data integrity 
  • Inventory, cycle counts & cost management
  • Management and sufficient execution of production plans
  • Streamlining efficiency without compromising quality or consistency of goods

The ideal candidate will have the following skills & attributes:

  • At least 5+ years in a similar role
  • LEAN Manufacturing qualification desired 
  • Microsoft Office Excel & ERP experience 
  • APICS qualification highly regarded
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as autonomously
  • Exposure to working within technical, construction, industrial, automotive or electrical product 
  • A degree or qualification in Supply Chain / Logistics / Manufacturing
