Our client is a leading supplier to the Homewares and Lifestyle industry with presence across Australia and New Zeeland. With an increasing portfolio of product lines leading their respective categories, they are now seeking for a positive and passionate buyer to join their team in the northern suburbs.  


Reporting to the General Manager, you will be working with an exclusively company brand, and your buying expertise will be across everlasting plants, flowers and tree and related decorative homewares and your day-to-day responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Build and maintain our fantastic product range to be creative, forward-thinking, and customer-centric
  • Be ahead of the curve in keeping up with market trends and opportunities for the business
  • Understand users/consumers and develop insights to contribute to the strategy & ongoing innovation with Rogue and the entire business function. 
  • Partner with our key external stakeholders to ensure their knowledge of products through necessary training
  • Partner with the Creative Team to plan, coordinate and execute visual merchandising activities.  
  • Manage financial plans in order to achieve sales and profit targets
  • Prepare range reviews and report.
  • Effectively managing aged inventory and slow sellers
  • Post seasonal analysis and presentations
  • Drive a continuous improvement culture across the Buying Team and broader business, through identifying insights, risks, and opportunities to grow and improve the business. 
  • Attend industry trade shows to discover new ranges and emerging products. 

About You

  • 2 years’ previous experience in a buying roles for floral design (artificial or live) or related
  • Good understand of the full product life cycle
  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline highly regarded.
  • A critical eye for design and experience in developing products
  • Desirable experience with data analyses and research market trends
  • Good attention to details
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
  • Great communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Coordination and project management skills.
