Our client offers a true one stop shop to a niche client base to ensure all aspects of their supply chain requirements are met in the most efficient and time/cost effective methods. This is achieved through established networks with air and ocean freight carriers, transport companies and warehouse 3PL service providers. Their Melbourne team is made up of a group of highly experienced, client focused industry professionals who work together to ensure they stay in an enviable position at the forefront of their chosen field.

An opportunity currently exists for a suitably experienced individual to join the team in this integral administrative role. Working closely with the sales and commercial team, key areas of responsibility will include: 

  • Managing vendor and client relationships
  • Maintaining rate information
  • Preparing quotations
  • Negotiating with external vendors to secure advantageous terms
  • Tracking and reporting key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness

This is a highly important role within a fast paced, dynamic environment. To be considered, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Recent relevant experience gained specifically within a shipping line or international forwarding environment.
  • Aptitude in decision making, and collecting and analysing data
  • Strong administrative and computer skills to include intermediate to advanced Excel skills
