Our client is a reputable leader in the manufacturing of agricultural products with a national and highly regarded presence. With the expansion of their premises and demand for product at peak seasonality, they are looking for an experienced and well-versed Site Maintenance Supervisor to join their operation in Melbourne's South East.

Reporting to General Management but working autonomously, your responsibilities in this role include but are not limited to:

  • Development and execution of a proactive preventative maintenance program 
  • Using LEAN & Six Sigma methodology to drive efficiencies and continuous improvement
  • OHS, WHS maintenance and routine reporting
  • Manage R&M budgets and monthly reporting
  • Development of season planning and manage competing priorities
  • Managing the day to day operations of grounds maintenance, including lawns, tree maintenance, service and repair of machinery (tractors and farming equipment) cleaning and maintaining amenities
  • Routine maintenance of irrigation equipment, pumps etc.
  • Risk minimisation and hazard prevention 
  • Developing and maintaining business relationships, specifically with and customers
  • Training and monitoring performance of new employees 
  • Day to day, hands-on involvement in all aspects of storage, inloading and outloading operations on the site
  • Project management, CAPEX reporting and budgeting 
  • Review and improve production processes to drive productivity

In order to be successful in this role, you must display the following attributes:

  • Experience working autonomously and in a team environment
  • A high attention to detail and passion to process improve
  • A significant understanding of process efficiency – LEAN methodology 
  • Experience working with safety systems and compliance to policy and procedures
  • Agri-engineering / farm background highly regarded
