Our client is an efficient medium sized business supplying frozen and fresh food produce to the Australian market. As part of a driven and passionate team you will be logistically responsible for the management of specific customer/supplier accounts. Specifically, you will be responsible for evaluation of inventory levels and forecasting systems to ensure ongoing stock levels to support the sale of a diverse produce range. As the primary point of contact for both manufacturers and clients you will effect the smooth transition of goods from order placement through to final delivery.

Duties will include assisting the tracking of imported product such as managing and maintaining inventory levels. Additionally you will be responsible for planning, organising and reporting on forecast purchasing plans.

This is a busy and dynamic environment and exceptional analytical skills, clear and concise communication skills (both written and verbal) and a high attention to detail. You will need to posess an advanced skillset in MS Excel as this will be the main platform for your work.

Previous experience in an import/export environment is essential and the ability to work as part of a team is mandatory. As well as taking on the daily logistics tasks, you will be a strategic thinker and consider the overall process, an IT savvy and always looking for ways to improve processes and better utilise systems/ tools to promote a more efficient supply chain.
