About the role
As the company Customs compiler & Classifier, your role will be to assist the customs broker in collating documentation and inputting data for all import shipments into Brisbane. This will consist of client and overseas agent and office contact, chasing correct documentation to help clear goods into the country, as well as begin to classify deferent types of commodities that come into country through the customs and company systems.
Duties & Responsibilities - Compiling and registering new jobs
- Classifying said jobs into customs and company systems
- Chasing overseas documentation
- Invoicing at times
- Liaising with operations, customs brokers, clients and external offices
- Eagerness to up skill and become a licensed customs broker
Skills & Experience - Freight forwarding or customs background
- Currently studying customs broker course, desirable
- Cargowise/CW1 exposure
- ICS skillset, advantageous
- Strong email and phone acumen
- Collaborative mind set
