Scope: We seek to connect a suitably qualified Software/Firmware Developer, focusing on the development and optimization of software and firmware with a strong background in embedded systems and software development, to our client who specializes in renewable energy technologies. Key responsibilities of the role include though not limited to:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software and firmware;
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate software and firmware with physical components;
- Implement and optimize algorithms for energy management, battery charging, and system diagnostics;
- Develop and maintain communication protocols (e.g., CAN, Modbus, OCPP);
- Perform system debugging, troubleshooting, and continuous performance optimization;
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and deliver innovative solutions;
- Participate in code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing sessions.
Success Profile: - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field;
- Proven experience in software and firmware development for embedded systems;
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Python, or similar;
- Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded Linux;
- Familiarity with communication protocols and interfaces (e.g., CAN, Modbus, OCPP, TCP/IP);
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex systems;
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with EV charging technologies and standards;
- Knowledge of power electronics and renewable energy systems;
- Knowledge of battery management systems (BMS) and energy storage technologies;
- Familiarity with IoT technologies and cloud integration;
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles for embedded systems;
- Agile/Scrum development experience.
