Pace Appointments QLD have joined with a leading provider of hydraulic solutions, specializing in hose and fittings, on-site repairs, system design, and fabrication. Established in 2008 and based in Toowoomba, who pride themselves on delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service. Who are now seeking a skilled Fitter & Turner (Machinist) to join their team.

About the Role
Looking for a trade-qualified Fitter & Turner (Machinist) to support the operations by machining high-precision hydraulic components. This role will primarily focus on machining parts using lathes and milling machines, ensuring that all components meet strict quality standards and customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate manual and CNC lathes and milling machines to produce hydraulic components.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Measure and inspect components to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Maintain and service machining equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with the workshop team to support project deadlines.
• Uphold workplace health and safety standards.

Skills & Experience

• Trade qualification as a Fitter & Turner (Machinist) or relevant experience.
• Experience in operating manual and CNC machines.
• Strong understanding of machining processes and tolerances.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Forklift licence (desirable but not essential).
• Experience in hydraulics or related industries (preferred but not required).

Hours of Work

• Monday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Tuesday – Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
