A well-established electrical contractor delivering large-scale commercial, education and government projects is looking for an experienced Leading Hand Electrician to join their team.
This role is ideal for an electrician who enjoys working on major construction projects from start to finish. You will be involved in building new sites from the ground up, working across installations such as underground conduits, cabling, cable tray, rough-ins and fit-offs.
The position offers $52–$55 per hour plus a company vehicle, working Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 2:30pm, with consistent overtime available.
Key Responsibilities - Lead electrical installation works on commercial construction sites
- Install underground conduits, cabling, cable tray, rough-ins and fit-offs
- Work from plans and complex designs while identifying practical solutions
- Maintain WHS standards and safe work practices on site
- Support and mentor apprentices onsite
- Communicate with the Project Manager regarding variations and progress
- Complete site documentation and reports as required
What We’re Looking For - QLD Electrical Mechanic Licence
- EWP Licence (Over 11m)
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Construction White Card
- Minimum 3+ years post-trade experience in commercial electrical work
- Strong understanding of construction site safety and installation practices
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
Highly Regarded - Experience on education or government construction projects
- Open Cablers Licence with endorsements
