Position: Mechanical Fitter – Pump Specialist

Role Overview
 Seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a passionate and dynamic team. This hands-on role involves working within the pump industry, performing a variety of tasks both in the workshop and on-site. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of relevant industry experience and a can-do attitude.

Key Responsibilities

• Stripping, rebuilding, servicing, and installing pumps, electric motors, and gearboxes.
• Performing detailed assessments of equipment.
• Operating manual lathes and milling machinery.
• Adhering to safety procedures and site-specific regulations.
• Occasional fieldwork (80% workshop-based, 20% field-based).

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

• **Essential:** Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter/Fitter & Turner.
• At least 2 years of experience in the pump industry.
• White Card.
• Confined spaces and working at heights certifications.
•  Positive attitude and strong team collaboration skills.

Preferred skills but not essential

• Forklift licence.
• Restricted Electrical Licence (Disconnect/Reconnect)-
• Hepatitis A & B vaccinations (due to work in wastewater environments). 

Work Environment & Hours
You will be part of a small, close-knit team of five passionate and engaged tradespeople. The role requires physical fitness for occasional fieldwork and offers growth opportunities with additional training available. Working hours are Monday to Thursday, 6:30 am to 2:45 pm, and Friday, 6:30 am to 1:30 pm, with an average of 2–4 hours of overtime per week.

Salary
 Great base pay starting at $50 per hour, with solid potential for an increase after a 3-month probation period.
