Pace Appointments have joined a family-oriented, industry-leading engineering and fabrication company based in Inglewood, QLD. With a team of 30 skilled professionals, they specialise in high-quality metal fabrication for major projects across construction, mining, and manufacturing. Work is varied, stimulating, and always focused on excellence, safety, and teamwork.

Role Responsibilities

• Interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine fabrication requirements.
• Operate machinery and tools such as shears, press brakes, saws, grinders, and welding equipment.
• Perform accurate measurements, layout work, and fabrication to tight tolerances.
• Select appropriate materials for each project.
• Perform MIG welding; TIG and Stick welding experience is desirable.
• Conduct quality checks on fabricated components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve fabrication or equipment issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers to optimise fabrication processes.
• Travel to project sites as required (optional).

Qualifications & Experience

• Certificate III in Metal Fabrication or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Metal Fabricator or similar role.
• Experience with MIG welding; knowledge of TIG and Stick welding desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in metal fabrication.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
• English proficiency required; 482 visa holders welcome. (Dependant on Conditions)
