Privately owned Australian Freight Forwarding business situation in a nice little pocket on the south side of Brisbane with an open plan modern office, free parking and fun team catch ups quarterly. Experienced close knit team of 5, expanding further to help stay with workload increases and market changes. Unique role and duty list, that incorporates many facets of the business to give you as while an understanding of the freight forwarding experience 


About the role

With your own portfolio of clients and you running their supply chain process and execution from origin to domestic client in Brisbane and everything in between. International bookings, order management, client updates, invoicing, cargo automation, domestic cartage. Further to this, your role will be to keep all internal sales rate tariffs , buy/sell rates as up to date as possible by contacting carriers and suppliers for updates and negotiations.


Duties & Responsibilities

• Routing & Booking management of all Import Sea shipments (some air, LCL and exports)
• Line & Co-load daily contact for bookings and updates
• Internal and external interactions in person, phone and email daily
• Invoicing & cargo automation
• Time slot bookings through transport companies for FCL cartage
• Rate management, quotations, supplier contract & negotiations

 Skills & Experience

• Freight forwarding background, particularly Import Sea Freight
• End to end departmental understanding and practices
• Strong understanding of MS Office applications (Word, Excel & Outlook) 
• Understanding of INCOTERMS
• Cargowise 1 exposure, desirable
• Inside Sales Support & rate management functional experience, advantageous
