Scope
At the forefront of growth and development, Pace Appointments is delighted to have partnered with this high performing commercial unit in the appointment of a Senior Procurement and Contracts Manager to work closely with the Chief Commercial Manager.

We are seeking to connect a motivated professional with mining and/or resource experience, to leverage their commercial acumen and deliver and manage a range of mid-large value contracts from tender, negotiation right through to award.  Supporting the Budget and Contract owners, ensuring the required services are secured to deliver on production targets, you will drive the commercial strategy, enabling the required services to maximise revenue opportunities and ensure sustainable growth.  

Responsibilities include though are not limited to:

• Developing, leading and executing category plans and sourcing strategies;
• Leading negotiations and a team of 2 direct reports;
• Sourcing and engaging suppliers through competitive tender processes;
• Provision of commercial advice to support contract owners;
• Developing and negotiating long term collaborative contracts in line with the commercial team;
• Delivering commercial and contractual advice within supplier and stakeholder functions;
• Calculation and management of risk across all facets;
• Avoidance, management and resolution of contractual disputes and claims;
• Supplier relationship management and performance monitoring.

Success Profile
Your key experience will be focused on sourcing and contract execution garnered from mining, resources, aviation or infrastructure industries, whilst having managed a small team.  You exemplify strength in communication and leadership, with a proactive approach to stakeholder engagement. Harnessing your technical acumen across negotiation and contract management, you will work autonomously within a deadline-driven and dynamic environment with resilience and uncompromising attention to detail, to deliver high quality outcomes.  Specifically, experience managing enabling services such as lights, camps, security, waste water and aviation commodities are highly advantageous.
