About the role
Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the role would be perfect for the experienced freight forwarding customer service executive, or sales representative that is looking to take a step into the back office section of sales. quotes, rate management, negotiations with carriers and suppliers, helping support sales and operational teams on how to execute certain clients requirements by actively setting out the process and pricing up the job.
Duties & Responsibilities - Preparation of weekly, fortnightly and quarterly updated sell rate cards
- Quotes for overseas agents, offices and local clients
- Maintain buy rate sheets
- Assist in negotiations with suppliers/carriers/clients
- Liaising with sales and customer service teams daily
- Liaising with clients, suppliers, carriers, lines daily
Skills & Experience - Freight Forwarding background
- International logistics & INCOTERM understanding
- Cargowise/CW1 advantageous
- MS Office, intermediate
- Negotiation skills and confidence
- Buy/Sell rates | Profit/loss | Margins mind-set
