The Company:

A leading organisation in the automotive and electronics sector is seeking an experienced Technical Draftsperson to support ongoing product development and manufacturing activities. This is an excellent long-term opportunity for a skilled drafter who enjoys hands-on design work, problem-solving, and collaborating closely with engineering and production teams.

The Role:

You will be responsible for designing and drafting a range of automotive and electronic components, 

• Producing precise CAD drawings and technical documentation
• Converting and digitalising existing drawings
• Ensuring designs are functional, manufacturable, and cost-effective
• Collaborating with prototyping teams to understand in-house capabilities
• Requesting quotes from suppliers and validating pricing for accuracy and competitiveness
• Working with engineering teams to ensure design intent is maintained throughout production
• Managing tasks with urgency and meeting daily or end-of-day deadlines
• Communicating clearly with staff across various departments and experience levels

About You:

• 3–5 years of drafting experience, preferably within automotive or electronics
• Strong skills in Autodesk (SolidWorks also accepted)
• A solid understanding of metalwork, mechanical systems, electrical components, and fabrication
• Automotive industry experience (must-have)
• A strong sense of urgency and a production-focused mindset
