The Role:
Are you an experienced Warehouse Operator with expertise in freight forwarding? This industry leading freight forwarding service provider is on the hunt for a reliable, proactive, and detail-oriented individual to join their team at their fast-growing company. If you have hands-on experience with international freight, Dangerous Goods (DG) regulations, and the use of Cargowise software, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities: - Unloading trucks daily and checking in freight while adhering to international travel rules and regulations
- Daily yard work, including the cleaning and stacking of pallets
- Loading containers, preparing freight, and ensuring compliance with weight restrictions, Dangerous Goods (DG) freight positioning, and secure load practices
- Communicating with customers on a daily basis regarding freight updates, schedules, and any issues that arise
- Preparing freight for international travel, ensuring adherence to all rules and regulations for both air and sea freight
- Using Excel and Outlook on a daily basis for tracking, reporting, and communication
- Heavy lifting of FAK freight as part of regular physical work
- Data entry of shipment information into systems accurately and efficiently
- Problem solving daily to address any operational or freight-related challenges
- Preparation of air freight daily, including compliance with DG regulations
- Segregation of DG materials, ensuring strict adherence to safety and regulatory standards
About You: - Proven experience in a warehouse or freight forwarding role
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and team members.
- Forklift License
- Dangerous Goods Certificate
- CargoWise1 experience
- HR License (preferable)
