Their team are seeking a motivated and communicative National Procurement Manager to join operations in the Melbourne office to drive procurement strategies and successfully execute project deliverables.
About the role The National Procurement Manager is a senior executive position that will be reporting to the CFO who will provide direction and support during your onboarding process. You will be an autonomous leader who can build relationships well with internal and external stakeholders to maximise outcomes for the business.
Your core focus will be to develop the procurement department so it can best provide the greater business with:
- Best practice processes across business including ensuring efficiency for purchasing of goods, materials, and services;
- Strategies to reduce procurement risks, cost reduction and optimisation of the procurement processes;
- Effective leadership of the procurement division so that your six team members who work across procurement specialist and category management roles will be equipped to make decisions with confidence;
- Strong supplier relationships that drive innovative solutions cross departmentally;
- Long term procurement strategies that can be easily communicated cross departmentally;
- A central point to manage RFPs and management of complex, value add contract negotiations;
- Realised opportunities for contracts optimisation.
The successful applicant will have accumulated at least five years working experience as a Procurement Manager with previous national responsibility within the manufacturing sector. A commercial mindset, superior communication skills and proven negotiation skills is a must in order to achieve in this role. The business in turn will offer the successful incumbent a fantastic team culture that will allow them to be heard and truly contribute. You will have a clear onboarding and development plan with a clear structure and expectation of outcomes that align to progression.
