Our client is a global manufacturer of a niche product range, on the hunt for an experienced hands on & operational Warehousing & Logistics Sourcing Lead to join their operation, in this newly created role. This position is based in Melbourne's Western suburbs and is a 12 month contract for a multinational, currently experiencing a period of rapid growth. 

The main responsibilities of this role are to work closely with the internal logistics, supply chain & senior management teams to organise and facilitate a RFP for our client's current warehousing & logistics providers and supplier base. An understanding of and exposure to the local transport and logistics network is required for this role. You will be not only hands on from a sourcing perspective, but need to have an operational lens and background which will allow you to succeed in this role. You will define the scope of 3rd party services, review RFP responses for assessment, assist with negotiation of current and new agreements and identify suitable suppliers. 

You will have strong commercial acumen, attention to detail, good negotiation skills and at least 7+ years experience in a similar role. This is a critical role in a time of huge growth and change so it is imperative that you have the ability to hit the ground running.
