The Position: As the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, this position will see you proactively managing your clients’ complete supply chain requirements. This will include managing purchase orders from order placement through to arrival, clearance and delivery, ensuring the smooth movement of inbound/outbound cargo. You will respond to any queries your clients may have, using your sound industry knowledge to offer solutions to their shipping requirements. The Client Services team pride themselves on providing exceptional, professional service to their clients at all times, and work collaboratively to ensure a positive result is reached at all times.
You: To compliment this great team and innovative business, you must have a fantastic customer service focus; you love going the extra mile for your clients, are the type of person who picks up the phone (rather than writing an email) if a problem occurs and you get a bit of a kick out of knowing your customer loves your work!
From an experience/technical perspective, you will need a solid import sea freight or customer service background gained specifically within the international forwarding industry – your clients will come to you for advice and guidance, so you must have the confidence and industry expertise to provide this. This is a paperless Cargowise One environment, so working knowledge of this system is required.
