Export Airfreight Operator – Tullamarine

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established international freight forwarder located in Tullamarine, seeking an experienced and proactive Export Airfreight Operator to join their team.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with solid airfreight export knowledge, who can manage the end-to-end process from booking through to final delivery. The ability to prepare accurate client quotes and spot rates is essential, and previous experience handling perishables or time-sensitive cargo will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and process export airfreight bookings, airline allocations, and documentation
• Prepare air export documentation and customs/export declarations
• Monitor and track shipments; update clients on status and resolve delays
• Liaise with airlines, transport providers, ground handlers, and customs
• Ensure all shipments comply with ABF, DAFF, and Aviation Security regulations
• Prepare spot quotes and provide accurate pricing to clients in a timely manner
• Maintain job files, invoicing, and profitability tracking in Cargowise 

Skills & Experience Required:

• Minimum 5 years' experience in export airfreight operations
• Demonstrated ability to prepare airfreight quotes and costings
• Proficiency in Cargowise is essential
• Strong knowledge of international freight and regulatory requirements
• Excellent attention to detail, communication, and time management
• Ability to work under pressure and manage competing deadlines
• Perishables handling or cold chain experience will be a strong advantage
