Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Officer to join our Freight Forwarding client, supporting both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions. This role requires prior experience using Cargowise.
Key Responsibilities:
Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner
Prepare and issue invoices in Cargowise
Manage foreign currency transactions and reconcile exchange variances
Perform debtor and creditor reconciliations
Manage collections and monitor aged receivables
Liaise with operations, overseas agents and clients to resolve billing queries
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure data integrity
Qualifications and Experience:
Previous experience in an Accounts Officer role within Freight Forwarding or Logistics
Proven experience managing both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
Experience using Cargowise (essential)
Strong understanding of foreign currency transactions and reconciliations
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong organisational and time management skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholder
