Our Client is a full-service freight forwarding and logistics provider, managing the entire supply chain from overseas suppliers through to customs clearance, warehousing, and final delivery across Australia. Position Overview:
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader with strong operational knowledge across international freight forwarding and customs clearance who is looking to take ownership of branch operations and lead a high-performing team. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the branch, ensuring exceptional customer service, operational efficiency, compliance, and team performance.
You will utilise your customs expertise and freight forwarding knowledge to support both staff and clients while driving business growth and maintaining strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and lead branch operations across imports and exports.
Oversee customs clearance activities and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
Support and mentor operational staff, fostering a positive team culture.
Maintain and develop strong client relationships.
Monitor branch performance and identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
Ensure high levels of customer service and operational excellence.
Liaise with carriers, agents, customs authorities, and key stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience:
Current Australian Customs Broker Licence (essential).
Extensive freight forwarding experience across both import and export operations.
Strong knowledge of air freight and sea freight processes.
Previous leadership or management experience within freight forwarding or customs.
Excellent communication and people management skills.
Customer-focused with the ability to build long-term relationships.
Strong problem-solving and organisational abilities.
Commercially minded with a proactive approach..
