Company Overview: Our client is an international freight forwarding specialist. An opportunity has arisen for a Cartage Coordinator to join their team. Working within a fast paced, professional team environment, you will enjoy variety and plenty of client interaction.
Position Overview: This is a full time permanent position working Monday to Friday which can also offer WFH 1 Day a week and will continue on an ongoing basis, but requires a committed, reliable individual who is proactive, organised, understands the importance of a good work ethic and can bring a professional, friendly and helpful manner to a fast paced environment
Key Responsibilities: - Book cargo movements with carriers.
- Communicate with clients about deliveries and updates.
- Follow up on COD payments to meet delivery deadlines.
- Check FCL and LCL availability online.
- Chase empty container returns to avoid detention fees.
- Liaise with freight forwarders and shipping lines about charges.
- Enter invoices for timely processing by Accounts.
- Check and approve cartage costs.
Qualifications and Experience: To be considered for this position you must have previous Cartage FCL / LCL experience gained specifically within International Freight Forwarding environment, with a minimum 1-2 years in a hands on Cartage role.
