Our client provides international freight forwarding, customs clearance and transport services to a diverse client base. Due to ongoing growth and success, an opportunity has arisen within their Sydney branch for a suitably experienced Cartage Coordinator to join their team. Position Overview:
This is a full time permanent position working Monday to Friday which requires a committed, reliable individual who is proactive, organised, understands the importance of a good work ethic and can bring a professional, friendly and helpful manner to a fast paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, key areas of responsibility will include:
Booking cargo movement with carriers
Liaising with clients regarding their deliveries
Chasing COD payments from clients to ensure delivery timeframes are met
Checking FCL and LCL availabilities in 1Stop and online
Chasing up empty container returns to ensure detention charges are not incurred
Liaise with other freight forwarders and shipping lines regarding charges
Entering invoices to allow the Accounts Team to make timely payments
Check and approve cartage costs
Salary and Perks:
$75,000 - $85,000 + Super
Qualifications and Experience:
To be considered for this position you must have previous Cartage FCL / LCL experience gained specifically within International Freight Forwarding environment, with a minimum 2-3 years in a hands on Cartage role.
