Our client is an international freight forwarding specialist with over 600 offices worldwide. Due to ongoing growth and success, an opportunity has arisen within their Horsley Park branch for an experienced Cartage Coordinator to join their team. Working within a fast paced, professional team environment, you will enjoy variety, plenty of client interaction and the freedom to truly make this role your own.
Key areas of responsibility will include:
- Booking cargo movement with carriers
- Liaising with clients regarding their deliveries
- Chasing COD payments from clients to ensure delivery time frames are met
- Checking Air and LCL availabilities online
- Chasing up empty container returns to ensure detention charges are not incurred
- Liaise with other freight forwarders and shipping lines regarding charges
- Check and approve cartage costs
This is a full time permanent position working Monday to Friday requires a committed, reliable individual who is proactive, organised, understands the importance of a good work ethic and can bring a professional, friendly and helpful manner to a fast paced environment.
To be considered for this position you must have 1-2 years previous Cartage experience gained specifically within International Freight Forwarding environment. In return, you will work with an extraordinary team, have 2 days hybrid working and remuneration commensurate to experience.
