Our client is an international freight forwarding specialist. Due to an internal promotion, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Cartage Coordinator to join their team. Working within a fast paced, professional team environment, you will enjoy variety and plenty of client interaction
Position Overview:
This is a full time permanent position working Monday to Friday which can also offer WFH 1 Day a week and will continue on an ongoing basis, but requires a committed, reliable individual who is proactive, organised, understands the importance of a good work ethic and can bring a professional, friendly and helpful manner to a fast paced environment
Key Responsibilities:
Book cargo movements with carriers.
Communicate with clients about deliveries and updates.
Follow up on COD payments to meet delivery deadlines.
Check FCL and LCL availability online.
Chase empty container returns to avoid detention fees.
Liaise with freight forwarders and shipping lines about charges.
Enter invoices for timely processing by Accounts.
Check and approve cartage costs.
Qualifications and Experience:
To be considered for this position you must have previous Cartage FCL / LCL experience gained specifically within International Freight Forwarding environment, with a minimum 1-2 years in a hands on Cartage role
