Position Overview:
Our Client is seeking an experienced Import Operator to join their Freight Forwarding team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing import shipments from start to finish, liaising with customers, overseas agents, shipping lines and internal teams to ensure the smooth and timely movement of cargo. This position requires strong operational knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple shipments while delivering a high level of customer service.
  
Key Responsibilities:
Manage import sea freight shipments from arrival through to final delivery.
Liaise with customers, overseas agents, shipping lines, transport providers and internal teams.
Coordinate customs clearance and transport requirements.
Monitor shipment progress and provide proactive updates to customers.
Prepare and process import documentation accurately and efficiently.
Resolve operational issues and ensure timely delivery of cargo.
Maintain accurate records and update internal systems.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and service providers.
  
Salary and Perks:
Salary negotiable depending on experience.
  
Qualifications and Experience:
Previous experience in Import Operations within Freight Forwarding.
Good knowledge of Sea Freight imports.
Cargowise experience highly desirable.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Good attention to detail and customer service skills.
