Position Overview:
An opportunity has arisen within the Melbourne branch for a suitably experienced Import Officer.
Reporting to the Melbourne Manager, you will get involved in all aspects of sea freight operations
Key Responsibilities:
Coordination of Import FCL/LCL shipments
Import Sea freight Job Registrations
Sea cargo Automation
Book space with shipping lines
Prepare shipping documents
Ensure compliance with import regulations and laws with Australian Customs
Track shipments and provide updates to clients.
Coordinating transport, and invoicing.
This is a full time permanent position; hours of work are 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday.
Qualifications and Experience:
To be considered for this position applicants must have recent import sea freight experience gained specifically within the international freight forwarding industry. Cargowise software an advantage.
