Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced Import Sea Operator to coordinate end-to-end sea import shipments within a fast-paced freight forwarding environment. This role involves managing shipment processing, documentation, billing, cargo coordination, and stakeholder communication to ensure efficient and compliant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and process FAK, FCL, and LCL import shipments
Register new shipments and generate shipping documentation
Arrange sea cargo lodgements and underbond movements
Handle billing, invoicing, and company payments
Respond to customer, supplier, and stakeholder enquiries
Liaise with shipping lines, depots, transport providers
Guide and support offshore operations staff
Ensure accurate and timely completion of import operational tasks
Qualifications and Experience:
Previous Import Sea Operations experience within freight forwarding
Experience handling FAK, FCL, and LCL shipments
Strong documentation and billing experience
Knowledge of cargo lodgements and underbond movements
Good communication and customer service skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
CargoWise experience preferred
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
