Position Overview:
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Import Operator to join the Melbourne team based in Tullamarine
Working within a friendly and professional environment, you will be responsible for coordinating import shipments from origin through to delivery, ensuring a seamless experience for customers while maintaining high service standards

Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate end-to-end import sea and/or airfreight shipments.
Liaise daily with overseas agents, shipping lines, transport providers and customers
Prepare and process import documentation for customs clearance.
Raise accurate invoices for all services provided.
Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve any operational issues.
Maintain accurate shipment records using CargoWise 1
Deliver outstanding customer service while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications and Experience:
Previous experience in an Import Operations role within freight forwarding
Strong working knowledge of CargoWise 1
Excellent understanding of import documentation and customs processes
Exceptional customer service and communication skills
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments
Ability to work both independently and as part of a close-knit team
