The Client

Australian privately owned Freight consolidation business with offices nationally and abroad. Depot unpack facility, located northwest of Sydney with site parking, PT accessibility and a team of well tenured all-round end to end operators that are more than happy to upskill you everyone is cross trained in everything within the business. In a division of logistics with competition at every corner, these guy stand out due to their attention to training and upskilling staff. Consolidations in the forwarding industry can get a quick glance and then the focus is on a forwarder, but to become a fully rounded operator and/or manager, it's best to understand all facets of the supply chain so you are always informed with where things are at.

The Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, who is hands on themselves. so can train and assist throughout your day, your transport cartage deliveries. Liaising with the data centre and overseas suppliers, you will make sure all documentation is on hand, all cargo is cleared and report any damages or delays to clients and trouble shoot any hold ups. All cargo automation and notifications, as well as constant client updates. Covering all FAK LCL cargo movements for their forwarding and importing/exporting clientele each week, your role is vital in terms of the entire supply chain for the clients cargo and requires quick witted and fast problem solvers when things get busy or held at customs

Duties & Responsibilities

• Coordinate customs documentation, delivery instructions, invoicing, and payment follow-ups for customs clearances
• Assist the licensed customs broker with document checks, classifications, and related tasks
• Advise customers and internal teams on customs regulations, trade agreements and Australian tariff structures
• Monitor shipment status, manage underbond lodgements, and handle clearance job processing
• Coordinate with wharves and warehouses for cargo pickups, inspections, storage, and other logistics needs

Skills & Experience

• Recent Freight forwarding experience
• Domestic Cartage understanding
• Cargowise system exposure
• Strong communication and multi-tasking skills
