Position Overview:
Manage end-to-end import/export operations across air and sea freight, ensuring shipments are handled efficiently, compliantly, and with a strong focus on customer service. This role involves coordinating imports from origin to delivery, liaising with customers and overseas agents, and overseeing customs clearance, transport, and invoicing. Strong knowledge of Australian import regulations and freight forwarding processes is essential..
Key Responsibilities:
Manage end-to-end import air and sea freight shipments, including LCL/FCL movements, with occasional involvement in export shipments.
Coordinate customs clearance and ensure compliance with Australian import regulations.
Manage DAP/DDP shipments and ensure compliance
Arrange transport and final delivery, liaising with carriers, warehouses, and service providers.
Communicate with overseas agents regarding bookings, documentation, and shipment updates.
Ensure accurate job costing, invoicing, and operational reporting.
Maintain and update shipment information within Cargowise.
Support, mentor, and guide operations staff while driving process improvements.
Salary and Perks:
$90,000 - $110,000 + Super
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum 5 years' experience in freight forwarding
Strong customer service and communication skills
Proficient in Cargowise
Leadership experience advantageous
