An opportunity has now arisen for an experienced Export Manager to join their team and take ownership of their export operations across both air and ocean freight.

Position Overview:
Reporting to the management team, the Export Manager will oversee the day-to-day export operations, ensuring the efficient movement of air and ocean freight while maintaining strong relationships with clients, carriers, overseas agents, and internal stakeholders.
The role will suit an experienced export professional who can manage operational requirements, provide guidance to the team, resolve issues, and ensure a high level of service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of export operations across air and ocean freight
Oversee export bookings including LCL and FCL shipments
Coordinate export documentation including EDNs, PRAs, Bills of Lading and related paperwork
Ensure accurate and timely lodging of export declarations
Coordinate container movements including collection, delivery and terminal receival
Ensure compliance with AQIS, Customs and other regulatory requirements
Liaise with clients, carriers, overseas agents and service providers
Act as the key point of contact for major customers, providing proactive updates and solutions
Manage and resolve operational issues to ensure smooth shipment execution
Support process improvements and identify opportunities to enhance service delivery
Provide guidance and support to export team members where required
Maintain strong customer relationships through exceptional communication and service

Qualifications and Experience:
Proven experience in export operations within international freight forwarding
Previous experience managing or supervising export operations preferred
Strong knowledge of air and ocean export procedures, documentation and compliance requirements
Experience with export systems (Cargowise preferred)
Excellent customer relationship management and communication skills
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of operational outcomes
