Backed by a global group and currently undergoing a major investment phase, they’re rebuilding and growing stronger than ever, and now they need a hustler to drive their next chapter of success.
This is not an account management role. This is about
getting out on the road, building relationships, and bringing in new business. You’ll be targeting the commercial sector - think hotels, apartments, large-scale commercial builds, and infrastructure. The products are premium, the specifications are detailed, and the projects you’ll be chasing are high value.
Key Responsibilities: - Hunt for new business opportunities across Victoria (with a strong Melbourne metro focus)
- Leverage your existing commercial construction and fit-out contacts to open doors fast
- Sell technically specified, high-value products by providing real solutions to client challenges
- Build, track, and manage a strong pipeline that converts into wins
- Work alongside a dedicated estimator to deliver accurate, compelling bids
- Spend 90% of your time out in market - meeting, pitching, and closing
- Very little pre-existing account management.
About You: - Proven Business Development Management or Key Account Management in commercial construction, fit-out, or building products
- A strong Melbourne network in the commercial space (apartments, hotels, infrastructure) - residential contacts are not enough
- Technically minded - able to quickly get your head around complex specs and solutions
- Tenacious, proactive, and competitive - you know how to open doors and seal deals
- Motivated by targets, growth, and seeing the direct impact of your wins
