hardware industry, known for delivering innovative, high-quality products to professional tradespeople. With a strong brand presence and deep industry roots, they’re continuing to grow and are now seeking a
Business Development Manager to take ownership of the
Victorian territory.
This is a full-time, permanent position best suited to a confident and self-motivated sales professional who thrives on the road and values building strong, long-term customer relationships. The Victorian territory is one of the most established and high-revenue regions in the business, offering an excellent platform for success.
Key Responsibilities: - Manage and grow sales across a well-established Victorian territory, driving revenue and gross profit
- Maintain a structured call cycle, focusing on key retailers and trade partners
- Identify new business opportunities, present promotional activity, and introduce new products
- Expand brand presence within stores and ensure consistent product visibility and engagement
- Host trade nights and run product training for retail and counter staff
- Accurately forecast sales and use CRM systems (NetSuite, Numerik) to manage customer interactions
- Participate in regular sales meetings, planning sessions, and team training
- Collaborate closely with the National Sales Manager and internal teams to align with broader business goals
Who You Are: - You bring experience in business development or territory sales, ideally in hardware, tools, or adjacent industries
- You’re a strong communicator, confident on the road (where you will spend 90% of your time), and skilled in building customer relationships
- You may not have held the formal title of BDM, but you’ve delivered results in a high-level sales capacity
- You’re organised, target-driven, and comfortable working independently while staying connected to the broader team
- You’re proactive, energetic, and excited to take on a mature territory with genuine potential for further growth
- You have full working rights within Australia
