About the Role: This position will take responsibility for preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates across a range of commercial electrical projects, while remaining involved in the delivery of projects you’ve estimated.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you’ll play a key role in shaping internal systems, processes and software as the business continues to grow. It’s an ideal opportunity for an experienced estimator who enjoys seeing projects through from concept to completion and contributing to ongoing business improvement.
Key Responsibilities: - Prepare detailed and accurate estimates, tenders and cost plans for commercial electrical projects
- Review drawings, specifications and scope documentation to determine labour and material requirements
- Liaise directly with clients, suppliers and subcontractors to confirm pricing, scope and variations
- Remain involved in delivery of projects you’ve estimated — ensuring timelines, quality and budgets are met
- Assist in the implementation of new estimating and project management software
- Identify and drive process improvements, contributing to KPI and reporting framework development
About You: - Proven experience in electrical estimating
- Background in commercial, maintenance or engineering services projects
- Trade qualification or tertiary training in electrical, engineering or related discipline
- Strong commercial and numerical acumen with attention to detail
- Confident communicator who enjoys collaborating with clients and site teams
- Proactive, solutions-focused and capable of working autonomously
- Strong IT literacy with ability to adapt to new systems and processes
