Our client, a leading innovator in premium sleep products is seeking an experienced and motivated Production Manager to lead their manufacturing facility. This role is critical in ensuring production runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality and customer service.

About the Role:

• Lead, mentor, and support 3 supervisors and 20+ production staff, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Develop and update weekly production schedules aligned with customer demand.
• Oversee sewing, cutting, and packing operations to ensure efficient workflow.
• Collaborate with client services, marketing, and supply planning to align expectations.
• Drive lean manufacturing initiatives to boost productivity, reduce waste, and optimise processes.
• Ensure accurate reporting through manufacturing execution systems and monitor KPIs (efficiency, throughput, waste, quality).
• Play an active role in OHS compliance and ensure adherence to company policies, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Champion a customer-first mindset, supporting product launches, process improvements, and innovation initiatives.

About You:

• Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing/production management role.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and workflow management.
• Hands-on experience with lean manufacturing, process improvement, and MES systems.
• Excellent people leadership skills, with the ability to coach, mentor, and resolve conflict effectively.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across multiple departments.
• Demonstrated commitment to OHS compliance and safety culture.
• (Desirable) Experience in textiles, sewn goods, or bedding/furniture manufacturing.
• (Desirable) Knowledge of ERP or production planning software (e.g., Netsuite, Aspect).
• (Desirable) Continuous improvement/lean certifications (Six Sigma, Kaizen).
