Senior Procurement Officer to join their close-knit supply chain team. This is a full-time permanent position, based in Melbourne’s South Eastern suburbs,
ideally with an immediate start. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing finished goods procurement and inventory management across multiple warehouses. This is a strategic role focused on maintaining optimal stock levels, ensuring continuity of supply, reducing holding costs, and supporting commercial objectives through proactive planning and supplier engagement.

Key Responsibilities: - Plan and execute finished goods purchase orders in line with sales forecasts and stock requirements
- Manage inventory levels across national warehouses, avoiding overstock and stockouts
- Analyse supply and demand data to drive procurement strategies and optimise working capital
- Identify and manage slow-moving or obsolete inventory
- Monitor landed costs, drive cost-control initiatives, and negotiate supplier terms
- Collaborate closely with global suppliers, internal stakeholders, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery
- Maintain accurate records in SAP and Excel, ensuring complete visibility of stock movement and planning cycles
About You: - At least 5 years’ experience in procurement or supply chain, ideally in a product-based or distribution business
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, forecasting, v-lookups, etc.)
- Strong ERP experience – SAP is essential
- Proven ability in demand planning, cost control, and supplier negotiation
- Strong communication skills and a high attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently and collaborating across departments
Bonus Points For: - Experience in fitness equipment, consumer goods, or manufacturing
- Understanding of international logistics and import coordination
- Familiarity with procurement best practices and process improvement
