Our client, a well-established and rapidly growing food manufacturer based in Melbourne’s Northern Suburbs, is seeking an experienced and reliable Warehouse Operator – High Reach Forklift Driver to join their team on a 6-month contract basis, with strong potential for ongoing permanent employment.
With the business recently opening a new facility nearby, this role will play a key part in supporting the transition between sites, assisting with stock movement, pallet transfers, and day-to-day warehouse operations.
About the Role: Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for operating high reach forklifts and supporting warehouse operations across both existing and newly established sites.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can confidently manage pallet movements, stock handling, and warehouse organisation while maintaining strong safety standards.
Key Responsibilities: - Operate high reach forklifts to move stock and pallets safely and efficiently
- Assist with transferring stock and materials between warehouse locations
- Support setup and organisation of the new warehouse facility
- Load and unload trucks and containers
- Pick, stage, and put away stock accurately
- Maintain accurate inventory and stock control practices
- Ensure warehouse housekeeping and safety standards are maintained at all times
- Work collaboratively with warehouse and production teams during the site transition.
About You: - Current LF Forklift Licence essential
- Proven experience operating high reach forklifts
- Experience within food manufacturing or FMCG environments highly regarded
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and safety procedures
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Reliable, motivated, and safety-focused
