Pace NSW is excited to partner with a highly reputable, market leading retailer based in Sydney's Inner West, who are now on the lookout for an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead their team through an exciting high-growth period and beyond.
This senior warehouse professional will manage and oversee the receiving and despatch, handling, storing, picking, and packing activities of this fast-moving and dynamic warehouse operations, ensuring quality standards are met at every turn.
The ideal candidate is both strategic, and hands-on, as well as exceptionally detail oriented, and able to manage all facets of the warehouse at any given time. You must achieve inventory accuracy, coordinate orders, and track shipping times, ultimately overseeing the fulfil the needs of the organisations long-standing and diverse customer base.
The Role:
- Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction being the primary goal, by supervising, organizing, directing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operation goals.
- Develop / Improve warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory management, gate processes, and shipping.
- Develop strategy for improved stock counting including scanning tools and regular cycle counting methodologies.
- Manage a warehouse team of 10+ to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals.
- Review and prepare workflow, manning and space requirements, equipment layout, and action plans while ensuring productivity, quality and customer service standards are met.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
- Supervise daily activities of the warehouse, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service.
- Oversee and manage logistics utilized to transport products to customers and internal facilities.
- Ensure all documentation supporting safe practices and regulatory requirements are reviewed and available for audit.
About you: - Proven experience in managing a warehouse team of 10 +
- Experience leading a high-growth operations environment
- Exceptional communication skills at all levels
- Calm under pressure, level-headed
- The ability to be both strategic, and hands-on
- Strong focus on health and safety
- Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities
- NetSuite ERP system highly advantageous
- Comfortable delivering frequent direct written and oral feedback
