A highly sought after opportunity now exists for an Account Manager to lead one of their key projects taking full accountability for commercial, operational and team performance.
Responsibilities will include:
- Full P&L ownership of the assigned project; monthly reporting and financial forecasting.
- Lead, mentor and develop operations, transport and warehouse teams; ensure adequate resources and training.
- Manage overall project operations including vessel management, schedule oversight, and time-critical shipments.
- Oversee quoting, billing, documentation, claims and invoicing processes.
- Ensure safety, compliance and HSSEQ standards are actively upheld.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal/external stakeholders and client.
- Performance management including coaching and team development.
- Conduct MBRs & QBRs, ensuring KPIs, revenue targets, cost control and customer expectations are consistently met.
- Analyse and manage supplier/subcontractor performance.
- Identify new business opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives.
About You:
- Diploma or Degree qualified; postgraduate management desirable.
- 10+ years international project freight experience with strong warehouse and transport knowledge.
- Experience in vessel management, exporting and end-to-end logistics planning.
- Strong leadership, delegation and decision-making capability.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Experience coaching teams and managing performance (PIPs, safety).
- Comfortable working across both office and warehouse environments.
- High integrity, reliability and commitment to safety.
- Proficient with Cargowise, SAP or similar ERP highly regarded
