Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity is now available for a Licensed Customs Broker to join their close-knit, high-performing team.
The Opportunity This is a true 360-degree Customs role suited to a hands-on professional with a whole-of-business mindset. You will be responsible for end-to-end customs clearance functions while gaining exposure across the wider operation, including warehousing and freight activities.
This role offers long-term career progression, with genuine prospects for directorship and shareholding for the right person.
You will also play a key role in obtaining and maintaining the Corporate Customs Licence, with full support provided throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities - Undertake customs valuation, tariff classification and final entry lodgement
- Determine, track and process duties and taxes on behalf of clients
- Apply for tariff concessions, refunds and duty drawbacks
- Liaise with clients to provide expert advice on tariff classification, valuation methods, origin requirements and Customs Act compliance
- Maintain CPD compliance and stay up to date with ABF and DAFF regulatory changes
- Provide support with transportation coordination and ad hoc freight forwarding tasks as required
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Assist within the warehouse when required (forklift licence required or obtained at company expense)
About You - Licensed Customs Broker with recent experience in the Australian market
- Strong knowledge of Australian Customs processes, documentation and regulatory requirements
- Positive, can-do attitude with flexibility to assist beyond the traditional customs scope
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels
- High attention to detail with strong time management skills
- Comfortable working within a small, collaborative team environment
