Based out of the Beenleigh workshop, you’ll play a key role maintaining and servicing a fleet of specialised road construction equipment, heavy vehicles, and mobile plant. Working closely with the National Plant Manager and Operations team, this is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys problem-solving, takes pride in their work, and can work independently while mentoring an apprentice.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Maintenance, servicing and repairs on heavy vehicles, trucks and specialised road construction equipment
• Fault finding, diagnostics, breakdowns and preventative maintenance
• Workshop administration and maintenance reporting
• Supporting and mentoring an apprentice mechanic
• Occasional travel to project sites (1–2 nights away approximately twice per month)
• Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Diesel / Heavy Vehicle / Plant Mechanic
• Experience working on heavy mobile plant, trucks or road construction equipment
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work autonomously and manage workloads effectively
• Experience with Wirtgen machinery advantageous
• Positive attitude with strong communication and teamwork skills
