The Opportunity Our client is a well-established manufacturing business based on Brisbane’s southside, operating in a fast-paced, high-output environment. They are seeking a technically strong Electrical Reliability Specialist to play a key role in improving equipment performance, minimising downtime, and embedding proactive maintenance practices across site.
Working closely with engineering, maintenance, and production teams, you will take ownership of reliability initiatives across electrical and automation systems, helping to lift overall plant efficiency and capability.
Key Responsibilities - Develop and implement reliability and maintenance strategies across electrical and control systems;
- Analyse performance data to identify failure trends and drive sustainable improvements;
- Support troubleshooting and provide technical guidance on complex electrical and automation issues;
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on uptime, cost reduction, and asset performance;
- Collaborate cross-functionally to optimise maintenance planning and execution;
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and contribute to site-wide improvement projects.
What We’re Looking For You will be a proactive and analytical professional with a strong background in electrical systems within a manufacturing or industrial setting. You’re comfortable working both strategically and hands-on, and can influence teams to adopt best-practice approaches.
Experience with PLCs, automation, and structured problem-solving methodologies (such as root cause analysis or reliability frameworks) will be highly regarded, along with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
Skills & Experience - Trade or tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or related discipline;
- Proven experience in a reliability, maintenance or electrical engineering role within manufacturing (FMCG highly regarded);
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, automation, and control systems;
- Experience in food manufacturing or high-speed production environments.
