Your Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will take ownership of the site's maintenance and engineering function, ensuring plant, equipment and facilities remain safe, reliable and operating at their best.
This is not a role where you'll be stuck behind a desk. You'll be actively involved in troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and technical problem-solving while providing leadership, direction and mentoring to the maintenance team.

You will have the opportunity to:

• Lead and develop a small, capable maintenance team.
• Take ownership of preventative maintenance and reliability strategies.
• Improve plant uptime, reliability and overall equipment performance.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
• Manage maintenance planning, priorities and contractors.
• Oversee capital projects, equipment upgrades and site improvements.
• Work closely with Production and senior leadership to achieve operational targets.
• Provide technical input into future plant expansion and modernisation.
• Develop a strong maintenance culture focused on safety, quality and accountability.

Ideally, you will have:

• Trade qualifications as a Mechanical Fitter or similar mechanical trade.
• Previous experience in food manufacturing, FMCG or a high-volume production environment.
• Previous experience managing or leading maintenance personnel.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A hands-on approach and willingness to lead by example.
• A proactive attitude with a genuine passion for continuous improvement.
• A strong commitment to safety, quality and production performance.
• Experience with capital projects, automation, CMMS systems and reliability improvement will be highly regarded.
